FORMULA / COGNOSCENTI RELEASE STATEMENT:

Building on the success of their first offering, Remodel are releasing their second single, a download only double A-side single of Formula and Cognoscenti. It will be available via their label Saf Gnome Records, as well as through iTunes and assorted digital outlets. The single showcases Remodel's ability to write great pop, with two slabs of dynamic dissent, both demonstarting a progression in their style. Formula leads off with caged animal swagger and a swinging, punching riff as Remodel tear into the tainted world of Prosaic pop. This is pop that punches, then hands you a hanky to wipe your bloody
nose. Recalling MTV-baiting Dead Kennedys at their most
sardonic, it most certainly guarantees not to ‘leave a vibrant after-taste and pleasent feeling.'
Cognoscenti is three well-spent minutes of Remodel
rocking out to the disdain of fashionistas and trend-surfers. Displaying a fuller sound from the four-piece, it scatters harmonics and harmonies, while adhering to their punk-rock urgency. Not to be missed.

***

Remodel are a post-punk pop band; Shropshire-born but London-based. They are moulded into the template of British pop bands while retaining a decidedly original slant.
Well-dressed, gentlemanly and chivalric, they could be compared to The Stranglers or The Buzzcocks, but most importantly, they sound like Remodel.

Following on from recent singles by Joe Rybicki, My Name Is Red and Lily Rae, Formula/Cognoscenti is SadGnome Records' 7th release.
